Palermo , February 15, 2013. Cyberbullying, identity theft and defamation on social networks. These are just some of the new crimes that are committed through Internet, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and other online chats.
The law regulating these crimes is constantly evolving to keep up with changes in technology. The conference was held at the seat of Sicilian Region, Palazzo d’Orléams, touching upon current issues, such as the limits, rules and tools, which can be used in order to avoid the dangers in the virtual word.
The event was presented by the Office of Consumer Protection of the Region of Sicily, in collaboration with the Regions of Liguria and Puglia and DET (Legal Department) of Rosselli Foundation, coordinated by the lawyer Alessandro Palmigiano, the Postal Police of Palermo and Catania and the School of Telecommunications of the Armed Forces, located in Chiavari.
